As a native Atlantan, Rosalyn Merrick brings a deep passion to her role as president and CEO of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.

She joined in 2020, just as the pandemic stalled funding and volunteers. With two decades of fundraising experience, she secured a $13.5M donation, restoring production from 23 to 50 homes a year while reinvesting in staff development and compensation. Under her leadership, Habitat doubled its impact in five years, serving 900 families with new and preserved affordable housing.

She also led development of their first master-planned community, Browns Mill Village, delivering 134 homes across 31 acres, and is preparing to host the 2026 Carter Work Project, to launch the development of a 64-home community over three years.

At every step, Rosalyn is grounded in her faith, driven by her belief in the mission and the people she serves.

Rosalyn’s Leadership Lessons:

• Be in tune with the people around you.
• Be honest about what you know — and don’t know.
• Stay focused on what matters most.
